The Shanghai Shipping Exchange’s Shanghai Containerized Freight Index fell 1.3 percent since last Friday’s reading of 883.59 to a reading of 871.76 today. Since last week, spot rates from Shanghai to Europe inched up 0.2 percent, from $912 per TEU to $914 per TEU, while spot rates from Shanghai to the Mediterranean slipped 0.8 percent, from $797 per TEU to $791 per TEU.
